Manay Leila
First Nominee, ML Party-List Former Senator | Former Secretary of Justice | Former Chair, Commission on Human Rights
Manay Leila de Lima is a former Senator, Secretary of Justice, and Chair of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR). Throughout her career, she has championed human rights, justice, and the rule of law. She stood at the forefront of the fight against human rights abuses, holding powerful individuals accountable even at great personal cost. For her outspoken opposition to extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration, de Lima was unjustly imprisoned for nearly seven years on fabricated charges—a clear attempt to silence her voice and undermine her advocacy.
Despite these challenges, de Lima has remained resolute in her pursuit of justice and accountability. As the first nominee of ML Partylist, she seeks not only to fight for the marginalized but also to reform the Philippine party-list system. She advocates for safeguards that will prevent political dynasties from exploiting the system and ensure that only groups with a proven history of advocacy for marginalized sectors gain representation.

Teddy Baguilat
Second Nominee, ML Party-List Former Congressman | Indigenous Leader | Advocate for Human Rights and Environmental Protection
Teddy Brawner Baguilat is an Indigenous leader and former three-term Congressman from Ifugao, known for his advocacy for Indigenous rights, environmental conservation, and social justice. As Chair of the Committee on Indigenous Peoples, he worked to safeguard the rights and cultural heritage of Indigenous communities while championing forest conservation and sustainable development.
Beyond his legislative work, Baguilat actively supports LGBTQIA+ inclusion and good governance, promoting transparency, accountability, and climate action. As ML Partylist’s second nominee, Baguilat is committed to ensuring that marginalized sectors, Indigenous peoples, and rural farmers have a voice in Congress. He also advocates for policies that protect the Philippines’ natural resources and promote sustainable development for future generations.

Erin Tañada
Third Nominee, ML Party-List Former Congressman | Human Rights Advocate | Champion of Labor Rights and Good Governance
Erin Tañada is a former three-term Congressman from Quezon and a prominent advocate for human rights, labor rights, and good governance. He has a deep legacy of public service, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Senator Lorenzo Tañada, a national hero, and his father, former Senator Wigberto Tañada. Throughout his career, Tañada has focused on advancing transparency, accountability, and inclusive policies that uplift marginalized communities.
During his time in Congress, Tañada served as the Deputy Speaker and was known for authoring and supporting key legislation, such as the Freedom of Information (FOI) Bill, aimed at enhancing transparency in government. He was also instrumental in the passage of labor reform laws that protected workers’ rights and improved working conditions. Additionally, Tañada has championed press freedom, emphasizing the need for independent media in maintaining democracy.
As ML Partylist’s third nominee, Tañada continues his advocacy for government accountability, labor rights, and human rights. His campaign focuses on ensuring that social equity is prioritized in policymaking and that every Filipino—especially the most vulnerable—has access to opportunities and fair representation in government.
